Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

In the morning at 07:00Hrs, you’ll be picked up from your hotel in Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport and driven to the Tarangire National park which, is known for its diverse landscapes and large elephant herds. As you drive through the park, you’ll witness the iconic baobab trees that dot the horizon. Keep your eyes peeled for various wildlife species, including lions, zebras, giraffes, and wildebeests. The park is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 500 bird species recorded.

Day 2: Tarangire to Lake Manyara National park

On the second day, you’ll head to Lake Manyara National Park, nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park is famous for its picturesque scenery and unique tree-climbing lions. You’ll have the opportunity to spot a variety of animals, such as elephants, buffalo, hippos, and an array of birdlife. Take a walk along the lake’s shores and appreciate the stunning views it offers.

Day 3-4: Serengeti National park

Continuing your journey, you’ll make your way to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, famous for its annual wildebeest migration. Spend two days exploring the vast plains and witness the incredible spectacle of thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and other herbivores crossing the Serengeti in search of greener pastures. The park is also home to predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, offering thrilling wildlife encounters.

Day 5-6: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

On day 5, depart from the central Serengeti and head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. En route, visit the Olduvai Gorge, an important archaeological site known for its fossil discoveries. Upon reaching the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, which is home to a vast array of wildlife, including elephants, lions, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and numerous bird species. As you traverse the crater floor, your experienced guide will provide insights into the animals’ behavior, their natural habitat, and the significance of this unique ecosystem. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the stunning surroundings of the crater before continuing your game drive in the afternoon. As the day comes to a close, you’ll ascend back to the crater rim and return to your lodge for a relaxing evening.

Day 7: Departure

After breakfast, you’ll bid farewell to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and begin your journey back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you’ll depart with unforgettable memories of your 7 Day Tanzania safari.
