DAY TO DAY ACTIVITIES
Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
In the morning at 07:00Hrs, you’ll be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and embark on a scenic drive to Samburu National Reserve, which is approximately a 5-hour journey from Nairobi. Upon arriving at Samburu National Park, you’ll be greeted by its breathtaking landscapes. The park is characterized by vast stretches of savannah grasslands, acacia woodlands, and meandering rivers that attract a rich variety of wildlife. After settling in at your accommodation, embark on your first game drive. Accompanied by an experienced guide, you’ll have the chance to spot the famous Samburu Five, which include the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and the gerenuk. Keep an eye out for the big cats, as they are known to roam this area.
Day 2: Full Day Exploring Samburu
Rise early and set out for a morning game drive. As you explore the park, you’ll come across the Ewaso Ng’iro River, a lifeline for the animals that inhabit the region. Here, you might spot bathing elephants, crocodiles, and hippos. Your experienced guide will navigate through the reserve in search of the big cats. Day 9: Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha
Depart Masai Mara after breakfast and drive to Lake Naivasha, known for its stunning scenery and abundant birdlife. Take a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where you can spot various bird species and possibly hippos. After the boat ride, visit Crescent Island, which is a private sanctuary and a great place to walk among wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, and antelopes.
Day 10: Lake Naivasha to Amboseli National Park
Leave Lake Naivasha after breakfast and embark on a scenic drive to Amboseli National Park. As you enter Amboseli, you will immediately be captivated by the stunning vistas of Mount Kilimanjaro, providing a picturesque backdrop to the park’s wide-open plains. After checking into your lodge, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch before venturing out on an afternoon game drive.
During your game drive, keep your eyes peeled for the park’s diverse wildlife, including large herds of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, and various antelope species. Day 11: Full Day Exploring Amboseli
Rise early to catch the spectacular sunrise over Mount Kilimanjaro before setting off on a full day of exploration in Amboseli National Park. The morning hours provide excellent opportunities for wildlife sightings as animals are most active during this time.
You’ll have the chance to explore different areas of the park, visiting various waterholes where animals gather to quench their thirst. Amboseli’s swampy areas are particularly attractive to elephants, and you’ll likely come across large herds bathing and socializing in the muddy waters.

Day 12: Amboseli to Tsavo West National Park
After breakfast, depart Amboseli and head towards Tsavo West National Park. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and have lunch. In the afternoon, explore the park, which offers diverse landscapes including volcanic hills, savannahs, and the famous Mzima Springs, where you can observe hippos and crocodiles underwater from an underwater observatory. Day 13: Tsavo West to Tsavo East National Park
After breakfast, depart Tsavo West and drive to Tsavo East National Park, the largest national park in Kenya. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive in search of wildlife, including large herds of elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species.
